      CONSULTING ASSISTANCE

A Health Enhancement Center consultant will visit your site and develop a program specifically for your company. It will include specific recommendations, legal requirements you may need to meet (DOT compliance), advice on who should be tested and what drugs to test for.

      POLICY DEVELOPMENT
We work closely with you to develop an individual, comprehensive Substance Abuse Policy. If your business is DOT regulated, your policy will be written by an attorney specializing in DOT regulations and policy development. Policies can be developed to meet all DOT requirements.

      SUPERVISOR TRAINING
A successful Drug-Free Workplace is only as effective as the supervisors enforcing it. HEC offers distinctive programs to help you get the most from your Substance Abuse Policy.
Supervisor Training satisfies DOT requirements and includes regulatory overview, signs, symptoms & effects, suspicion and legal procedures.

HEC's Straight Talk Seminar for Supervisors gives your supervisors real skills they can use with all types of problems. Supervisors learn how to talk to someone with a problem. Includes definition of terms, role and responsibility of supervisors, job performance indicators, how to address problems and make referrals, and resources for help.

      EMPLOYEE SEMINARS
Straight Talk Seminar for Employees teaches your employees how to recognize the signs of impairment and how to deal with situations involving fellow employees and drug abuse. Focus is on signs, symptoms, and effects, and maintaining a safe work environment.

      THIRD PARTY ADMINISTRATION
HEC will administer your policy as written. This may include specimen collection, laboratory processing, MRO services, confidential record keeping, trouble shooting, annual reports and random testing arrangements.

      SPECIMEN COLLECTION
HEC maintains collection centers throughout the United States using subcontractors at over 8,000 locations. Nearly all are centrally located, independent facilities with convenient parking and flexible hours-making testing simple and quick for you and your employees. We also offer on-site collection, and can even arrange for collection anywhere in the US anytime of day or night.

      CERTIFIED LAB TESTING
HEC uses SAMHSA approved laboratories. Lab fees will be negotiated to obtain the best price available.

      MRO SERVICES
HEC's physicians are certified by the American Association of Medical Review Officers. Our MROs and licensed health professionals will receive all lab results, maintain the necessary confidentiality and conduct medical interviews with individuals who test positive.

      CERTIFIED BREATH ALCOHOL TECHNICIANS
Our Breath Alcohol Technicians (BATs) are trained and certified to perform testing for companies that experience problems with on-the-job alcohol consumption and to meet DOT random testing requirements. Tests comply with DOT regulations.

      EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS
It is more cost effective to provide counseling for current employees than to dismiss them and hire new people. HEC's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) focuses on identifying and resolving employee problems, including drug and alcohol, health, marital, financial, legal, emotional and other personal concerns. The EAP includes six counseling sessions for each employee and their immediate families, and identify your employees have access to telephone counseling 24 hours a day.
